The Arrival of JCB 437
Olus Environmental is pleased to add a 9th JCB to our fleet.... Our Biomass site on the Firsland Business Park, West Sussex was a hive of activity this week when the BIG machine arrived... the staff on site were itching to get their hands on it.
Here are a few facts about the JCB 437
Superior structural strength and durability.
Cold cell testing guarantees starting performance down to -20oC.
A stylish, modern central dash display provides machine health details, service requirements and operating information.
A 3-piece laminated front screen, interior mirrors, heated exterior mirrors.Maximum Engine Power: 129kW
Maximum Loader Capacity 2.7m3
Operating Weight : 18386kg
The new 437 will join other machines on site and help with moving feedstock into the shredder and the loading of woodchip into Lorries.
At Olus Biomass we process waste wood from household recycling sites, building contractors and the timber construction industry from the Sussex area; the waste that without recycling would end up in a landfill. With a million pounds of investment on site infrastructure we are doing our bit to help the UK towards meeting its renewable energy targets and producing a quality biomass product.
From January to June alone we have processed 9,000 tonnes of wood waste into Biomass. For regular readers of our blog you will be pleased to hear this is the approximate weight of 300 adult Humpback Whales!!
