Recycling
At Olus we appreciate the importance of looking after the environment.
Olus Environmental has been committed to recycling and reducing landfill waste since the company commenced trading in January 1994. Our approach to recycling has been developed on principles of economic and environmental sustainability.
We aim to be innovators in the recycling of both municipal and commercial waste and continually endeavour to deliver sustainable solutions to the recycling industry to produce quality recycled products for retail end markets.
At our recycling centres we use our expertise each year to: recycle over 30,000 tonnes of green waste into PAS100 accredited compost, shred 15,000 tonnes of wood waste into biomass and chip for the board manufacture sector and process horticultural Rockwool growing media into sand for the production of house bricks.
Olus is purposeful and energetic in its approach to change, always looking to upgrade and streamline its systems, embracing new technology’s to develop new processes as emerging markets and waste types are identified.
At OLUS we supply 100% peat free, PAS100 certified, organic compost.

One of the questions we often get asked at the Olus Sales Team, relates to sterilisation and purity of our end product of 10mm compost. From a personal point of view, to be able to say to customers that we do not add anything at all to our compost is fantastic, in these times when people are looking for a chemical free and organic product.
